My husband has been insured for our last 3 holidays with Insurancewith. Currently he is not having treatment as after 3 different chemotherapies it has stopped being effective. Insurancewith declined insurance for our upcoming 35th wedding anniversary trip stating that he needed to have a ‘stable period’ before they could accept him. The terminal prognosis has always been declared and he was given a 6 month to 3 yr figure in Oct 16. Now as there is less than 6 months left of this prognosis it seems impossible to find other companies to provide cover.
Does anyone else have experience of this or know of other companies ids likely to accept him? Have tried staysure, Avanti, allclear and International travel so far.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding travel insurance for your upcoming trip. Unfortunately, as you have found, it can be more difficult to find travel insurance when you have had a cancer diagnosis.

It is best to phone the travel companies rather than try and do online quotes. Make sure you have all the information to hand about your husband's diagnosis and treatment before contacting the insurers. This is a list of common questions that insurers might ask when you're applying for insurance.
Some insurers will ask for a letter from your doctor to prove that they have given you permission to travel. In any case it's always best to make sure that you have checked with your doctor that it's okay to travel and that this has been recorded in your notes in case of a claim.
