Hi everyone, I'm new here and am desperately trying to find a solution for my father in law who was recently diagnosed with secondary bone cancer. His treatment so far has been very intense and mainly due to the steroids rather than the radio or chemo, his feet have swelled so bad that his shoes don't fit, he has cut an old pair up enough to fit his feet in and I'm hoping someone here could help with ideas for new footwear (not sandals as its winter), just hoping someone has had similar experience and can help really? I'd love to buy him some sketchers or something stretchy but they're so expensive and cannot afford them. Sorry if this seems trivial but it isn't to him! Any suggestions greatly appreciated xx
Hi ,
Has your father in law had any kind of needs assessment? It might be he would be eligible for disability related benefits that might help to make things more affordable to help him cope. If you ring the helpline or use (Missing Forum) they might be able to help ensure he gets the support he needs to help make life a little bit more comfortable.
<<hugs>>
Steve
