Hi all, my first post but could really do with some advice please. My mum has stage 4 bowel cancer and recently told life expectancy could be between 12-18 months.

Funeral costs are on my mind as my mum has no money, savings, insurance etc and it would fall solely on me to pay. Me and my mum have been thinking about taking out insurance of some sort to help with the costs when the time comes and wondered if anyone knew what our best and cheapest option might be. I know it’s hard to get life insurance with cancer so really don’t know where to start. Thanks

    Thanks very much Helen.

Is there a particular insurer you might recommend or shall I just look around.

  • On the gov.uk website grants are available I believe, it's free to look.
