Just spent weekend dealing with sorting and emptying mother’s home, many memories and a happy home and life packed into a box. Mum now safely moved in with me but she is left bereft by the loss of her home as I feel. She too I’ll to live alone as has cancer in breast and lung and myriad of health issues. I feel exhausted and trying my best to keep a life balance, work, housekeeping. I find this all so distressing. Worry Bunny
Hi and welcome to the community, though so sorry to hear about your mum.
Has your mum had a needs assessment and you a carers assessment? These should help you both tap in to the support that can help you fell less exhausted. I know for me a living with less stress course was incredibly helpful to help me focus on issues in the here and now rather than worrying about a future I could not control and that I imagined as being worse that ever materialised.
Carers are an important part of the equation, we even have a special group here Carers only forum and we are equally welcome on the phone service. Another useful source of support is carers uk and hopefully your workplace will be very supportive too.
<<hugs>>
