My father who is 78 has recently been diagnosed with advanced (hormone resistant) prostate cancer with bone metastasis and early signs of MSCC. He does not want chemotherapy and is on hormone treatment. He does not want a prognosis or to discuss stages of the disease and what he may face going forward. Does anyone here have any experience of how the disease may progress, what pain may be involved and what sort of timescales he is looking at.
