Haven't posted for a while but saw my best friends consultant yesterday n they are stopping all treatment. She has got sum new shadows 1 on her lymph nodes in chest 1 in lung and 1 in stomach. These are new so as well as these she has got shadows on her pelvis small cell lung cancer and 1 just behind her pancreas. The consultant said that he feels she cant have more treatment as it is only 3 months since her chemo ended would of liked 6 mths. I said to him time frame and was gutted when he wouldn't so I said wiv how poorly she was I didnt see her seeing xmas n he said that isn't a bad guess. So I am bringing her home nxt week cos she wants 2 be at home. Just hope I can cope. Sorry for such a long essay i just so devastated.
Hi , sorrand hope y to read about your friend and hope she gets the best care in keeping her as active and comfortable as possible and that you have opportunity to make and share the best of this poor time. She is lucky to have a friend like you and like all of us you will cope because there is no option and through here we will be there doing our best to support you.
