Hey.

Last 48hrs Dad is now refusing to have his mouth or lips moisture wiped.

I tried yesterday but just got his lips. He had his eyes open on and off, which he's not done for a few days and did respond to my question verbally, again not done that for couple days.

My fiancé was with me this weekend but he is back home to Scotland again Tuesday so I'm alone again apart from you peeps.

He has not taken a drink for about week now, is my Dad clamping against moisture his way of saying enough? Is this usual in a dying person?

  • Hi,

sorry to hear about your dad and this new worry, though good to hear in other ways he seems to be respondin better. Even the doctors find it hard to know when someone will die and it is all to easy to try looking for signs.

I wish I could be of more help as I really feel for you as I know what is was like when my father was ill and sometimes it can feel like we are just waiting for them to die and see them so poorly it can be hard to remember the strong man who raised us.

    <<hugs>>

    Steve
