Both my Dad and Stepmum have cancer. My Stepmum has dementia also and my Dad is finding it really hard to deal with it. She can be aggressive and especially towards my Dad. She refuses to accept she has dementia and doesn't take medication for it. Trying to get support is really hard as firstly she refuses at every point, but my Dad needs the support as he is Ill too. I feel like there should be one person co ordinating it all , my Dad is trying to get support from mental health but they will only speak to him with my Stepmum but if my Stepmum goes to meetings with hi. She just argues about every issue he raises. It's incredibly hard and feel my Dad is going to suffer for it as he tends to give in to her for an easier life.
