  • Food can be an issue sometimes and  in  this emergency situation even more difficult .Basically anything soft custard icecream scrambled eggs .Use cream  milkshakes smoothies .Might be worth posting on the gullet cancer group they are really good at food issues .Bill had this foamy liquid before he was diagnosed with oesohageal cancer apparently the tumours sometimes produce it .Good luck and take care .

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to Carers. Eating with oesophageal cancer can be a minefield. My husband liked anything soft but without spice of any sort and it had to be cool. Smoothies can be useful, expecially if you have a liquidiser and can whizz any preferred foods or fruits. There's no point in 'nagging' even when you're trying to be gentle and caring it can seem too much to someone who's having a bad time with a really sore oesophagus. Go with the flow and if things don't improve I'd suggest a call to his specialist nurse.

    Love and hugs,

If you find dust in my house, write your name in it. When the signatures overlap I'll get the polish.
