I don't know what to do. I have a sinking feeling all the time and am tearful nearly every day. My chest feels tight and like I'm always tense with no relief. I feel panicky that I should be doing things but instead all I want to do is go to bed and hide under the covers. My husband has stage 4 breast cancer which is not treatable and I feel totally overwhelmed .I'm irritable and feel like life is just happening to me at random. My husband is only 39, I am 37 and the thought of facing life without him (we have a 12 year old daughter) fills me with sadness and a feeling of loneliness. I've always had anxiety and depression but thanks to the support of my lovely husband and medication I felt understood and comfortable. Now I can't imagine who I will be without him. I also feel guilty being like this when I'm not the one who's seriously ill. I want the remaining time we have left together to be as good as it can be.
How can I get out of this negative thinking? I don't expect I'm alone here. I'm very good at getting myself into a downward spiral but not so good at 'putting my big girl pants on' as my mum says!
