As you all know that I am caring for my husband .

Over Xmas was a quiet but event ful as he ended up with two chest infections and a server water one.

We just got over that when yet another chest following by the water infection again this week .

But the antibiotics seems to be making him hallucinations more than before.

I'm  sometime struggling to not  ending up shouting at him when replying to him episodes . As I am trying to tell him the truth without upsetting him.

Myself I feeling that he's getting weaker and it physical and emotional affecting g me more .

She as stress is affecting my own health issues .

And it feels like professional are aware of the changes but not telling me what they mean.

So I have to research it on line .

  • Hi Midnight2018

Things are obviously getting tough for you, and my heart goes out to you.

Don't bother researching online, it is unlikely to help, and just give you more to worry about.

If you are concerned that there is a significant drop in his health over the weekend, remember there is your GP or specialist nurse contact number. Better to talk to someone that knows him directly.

This is stressful and I think it would be good to seek out company, friends or family, or a counsellor for support. We all have had times when we have shouted at our loved ones and regretted it.

Hope you can find a quiet time, a calm cuppa and turn your stresses away for a brief moment to yourself.

Write a list of your main worries, then decide to tackle them on Monday or sooner if needed. Lists can feel like taking control, particularly as you tick them off. So put sit down with a cuppa for the first one :)

    Hugs Birdfeeder

I will walk miles now for cancer charities, so others can walk beside their loved ones for as long as possible.

I've had to ring 111 again today as he's become dellium . I tried the hospice care team but they told me to ring 111.

He has a water infection which was spotted on Friday morning. Amoxicillin was prescribed but the dellium is worse than before and more frequently episodes.

And what he is saying is scary such as my bed was on fire which it wasn't. Plus seeing the picture of queen singing.

The 111 says it could be that the antibiotics are not strong enough to treat the infection .hopeful they will tell me what is really going on.as delium can be sign of end stage ,dehydration ,water infection.

So it just wait asa see what they say when they arrive.

Well I am here again another weekend and I have had 111 service out.

The oxygen levels of my husband are that low they want him in hospital but he has tirtur it down so I have to wait for the emergency doctor to bring out a script for antibiotics again and anti sickness tablets and steroids plus .

Then hopefully a gp out on Mon to do a review of his medication.

No one is telling me if he has reached end stage but the doctor has let slip to night that his cancer had metastatic .

I don't want to loss him yet but I want to make sure that he gets his wishes to died at home fulfill.

They all think that I don't know the signs of that is what is really happening .

The doctor also said that he has pneumonia already . So co_axmocilin tablets is the antibiotics he's got to take .

I hope that I can stay strong enough to see his wishes through.

Well here is the latest updated for you all he had a very serious water infection and the doctor and urgent care team failed to get the test done in time  so he ended up having seizures then getting rushed into hospital .

He was put on a drip of fluids and antibiotics and pain relief . They moved him to to two separate wards before getting him stable. Which took a full week as he has a leakage internally .

They finally released him home on Tuesday. But didn't inform me that he had a level two pressure sore .

That's on top of opening his lesson over his rectal cancer . The hospital have taken photos . So have the district nurse.

He's going down hill. I think we haven't got long left .

He's stopped drinking coffee and tea and even juice he asked for water during the night. He's sleeping most of the time.

The hospital think that the delirium episodes have affected his memory so waiting for a referral to the dementia and delirium clinic .

But it's now affecting my health as I can't get to sleep properly during the night as I am keep waking up to check that he's breathing or that he hasn't  feel asleep with a cigarette In his mouth.

To the extent that I found that l am falling asleep more on my sofa in the sitting next door .

Each time I look at him I see small changes in him.

It hurts me to know that I won't have him around much longer.
