As vaguely promised, this is a the start of a blog to let you know where I am with my treatment.
I'll be honest that the whole thing still feels like a bit of a story. I meet lots of doctors, and they all look very serious, and tell me I have to do more and more tests, but it still hasn't really sunk in I think.
It'll help me a bit to write it down, but feel free to skim through bits I've probably already told lots of you.

Yes another Monday done and another week started. Though with the tiredness still hitting me, it wil still be some time before its back to a working week, but I am working on it (Pun intended!) :-) And as always still determined to keep my sense of humor (even if it does need working on!). When I got back home on Sunday this week, there was a letter from the hospital giving me a day surgery appointment for Thursday. I'm glad it is moving so quickly but quite worried about how I will feel after the operation and how long it will take to heal enough to be able to sit or walk easily.
I'm assuming the histopathology results will take a couple of weeks to come back, then I will have another appointment with the surgeon to discuss options for the second (reconstruction) surgery. ...
Southampton General Hospital is the Neurological specialist for the South Coast. After arriving there by ambulance I believe they recognised my symptoms. I was put on a course of intensive antibiotics.
The next day they carried out ECG, brain scans, chest x-rays as well as a magnetic scan of my stomach.
Once they had the results of the scans a neurosurgeon came up and displayed the head scan on a computer screen and pointed out what they thought was a brain tumour.

Been a reasonable weekend, The usual tiredness and toilet issues but not enough to ruin the weekend or dampen my determiantion to fight through.However the most interesting thing was chatting in the macmillan chat rooms where i was taken back by how much people declare them self as "In remission" rather than declare themself as "clear of cancer".
It made me wonder if my optimism was remiss of me but hey, thats the way I am and even now as I consider the question again, I still...

So for the first time since I started the self-injections, I slept through the night without any major side effects (normally I can't sleep at all due to fever, chills, panic attacks, pain.) But now today I'm having horrible back and shoulder pain to the point I'm all hunched over and can't stand without having spasms :( No fun... Had a bath and that sort of helped, praying it gets better!!
Due to start either radiotherapy or chemo in Feb. Very apprehensive as I've heard all sorts about after effects, etc. Specialists have said as it will be a low dose I shouldn't worry about this or hair loss, but I've read about people getting rashes, red skin, and other issues. Anyone got any experience, good as well as not so good, to share??? Very concerned...
