    I suppose it's all over  though I'm still a bit concerned.  The scarring has a small area of lumpy swelling which I hope isn't any kind of infection, but I'm keeping an eye on it as much as I can trying to look at bits of me that are are hard to see!

    I'll be off-forum for a while as I have a (non-cancer) op next week; if nothing else the nurses should spot anything unusual since general anaesthetic ops…

    I felt like crying earlier, after having another 7 stitches removed, which today’s nurse also couldn’t see till I showed her exactly where they were, I got home and found at least one more at the top of my vulva.  The hospital clinic next available appointment is next week, another week’s healing, another week of my flesh melding with the suture.   Getting that/those out is going to HURT.  My GP’s…

    Churchill Hospital clinic done and home again.  Registrar took my history and examined me for lumps in neck, groin and abdomen = none found.  I did see the great man himself as he walked past in the corridor but he didn't run the session himself.

    Follow-ups will be split between them and Stoke Mandeville Plastics clinic so I’ll be seen every 3 months and they will each have a six-monthly review.

    Stitches were removed this morning, only one of the six of them caused a serious involuntary yelp and it does all feel less tense down there.  Only six non-dissolving stitches for what must be seven or eight inches of scar around the moved flap plus a 3 or 4 inch scar on my thigh where it was taken.  I'm impressed, and it all looks very tidy if a bit strange.  There is a tiny bit of split skin (like you get at the…
