nice sunny day in Wiltshire today but thats where the fun stopped. Was great to be accompanied to hospital by my son who has taken some snaps which i will upload over weekend. Only lost 2.5kgs in the week so dietitian reasonably happy. Picked up prescription for antibiotics (1 week course). Slept all way home, took round of Meds and then threw them all back up. dont know what is in stomach and what is down loo, throat so sore i am not taking anything else and will try to get some sleep. I was going to give the music blog a rest until the New Year but I received an email saying it was being missed and a post would be really nice. The message even had the subject ready for me – music to cheer you up when you’re having a bad day. Just about when I think things can't get any worse, and even though my consultants, nurses and doctors tell me it will get worse things do, and did so in quite a dramatic fashion today (Wed). Wow what a difference a day makes and then what a difference 10 seconds makes! Let me explain. After looking and feeling like death warmed up yesterday and being prescribed different pain relief some anti sickness medicine I can take through tube (at last) and some mouth and throat anaesthetic I rewrote my daily ritual and proceeded to carry out the first sitting of my new course of drugs. So i had my 12 weekly check up on december 2nd. They are to carry out more surgery to rectify the left breast. The cosmetic surgeon is under the impression that the implant has come out of the "skin hammock" and that there may be some fluid behind the implant - the ultra sound didnt pick up any abnormal fluid.
So its back under the knife i go.... they are hoping that itll be january, however with my past experience i am not holding out much hope!

Well, just when i thought the weekend was done and dusted last night proved how unpredictable this battle and journey is going to be. With food completed by midnight, I dosed up on Painkillers and was ready for a reasonable nights sleep. How naive of me to think I was getting on top of things. The cancer decided to make another stand, it knows it is almost defeated, eradicated, destroyed but will just not give up, just yet. And so started the most painful 8 hours I have had to endure yet. As the weekend draws to a close I can now manage to get my nutrition in less that 6 hours through the pump/tube. This will mean I can get some sleep without it after midnight. Most of weekend has been spent either feeling sick, being asleep or being in pain swallowing. Morphine doesn't do much except dry my mouth more, cocodomal helps me sleep and with swallowing for a bit. Tried to force feed a milk shake down via mouth this afternoon - burning sensation of ulcers all around and under my tongue...
