I have my appointments next Tuesday, 22nd August, first one with the surgeon and second one with the radiologist. It looks like they'll be recommending chemotherapy. I'm over my knee-jerk reaction of NOOOOooooo! I'm looking at it this way, I've been a smoker for forty-five years, only recently quit and still having the odd one occasionally. I figure I may have cancer cells elsewhere and the chemotherapy will put a stop to them, so it's probably a good thing. I am terrified my hair will fall out but...
So my cycle 2 day 15 treatment has been done and I'm now due for a PET scan next week before I start cycle 3.
I have the perfect T-Shirt for the PET scan - 'Screw your "Lab Safety" - I want superpowers!" Hopefully it will make the hospital staff laugh :D
Back in January I had two operations ten days apart, one of which I call ‘The Little Op’ and the other ‘The Big Op.’

It is 19 days since my turbt yet it feels like months. I'm not complaining, I like the feeling. My partner and I have achieved more togetherness and instead of this good thing flying past I have time to enjoy it. I suppose I used to run around doing all sorts of meaningless things that no longer have any importance and I fail to see why I thought they did. I guess my priorities have changed. I now spend more time on my family and my dog or looking at cloud formations to find fluffy animals or tending...
Just received my appointment with the surgeon and the radiologist. I looked them up online and they are both at the top of their profession. That makes me feel better, I can tell you. 22nd August which is about ten days time. This shit gets realer all the time. Having seen their credentials I feel better about it all. My surgeon is leading the field in robotic surgery and my radiologist is a leader in his field. I feel very lucky.
The fact they are both leaders in their fields makes me much happier...
Sometimes I can’t believe my own stupidity!
I’ve thought that I can now eat ‘as normal’ and manage the consequences with the use of loperamide.I have read and been told that a few jelly babies or pastilles can assist with the consistency of 'output'.
