In the event I have been very lucky indeed. I turned up for surgery today. I'd been told that if further tissue had to be removed as well as the eyelid reconstruction, I'd be there all afternoon. I was prepped ready for surgery: blood pressure taken, hospital wrist bracelets on, allergies noted and then a doctor came in and took a look at my eyelid. I learnt that the lab results were clear. had a hysteroscopy yesterday, it was awful, I'm surprised they don't give any anaesthetic for this procedure, the consultant doing it said you don't really need it done, I don't expect to find anything as the biopsy taken of your cervix came back clear, I said shall we not bother then?, as I had read that the procedure wasn't pleasant. she replied well we mite as well finish the investigation then you will know we ve covered everything.

At last, I feel normal again, 13 days after my first cycle. I have had such a lovely day; my friend and sister came to visit and we had a really normal, relaxing day together. Lunch was nachos and chicken, although it all tasted like it was wrapped in old copper! It was so lovely to feel well again, to laugh and gossip, to catch up and look to the future. Hi all
I'm home after another 8 days in hospital. Basically once we were back from London the health professionals on my team up here felt that I needed to be admitted as I still had a temperature and my blood cultures were all over the place.
So in I went.
I was immediately put on a course of antibiotics and settled onto a small ward of four though there was just me and one other lady at this point.
I am not sure how much of how I feel now is still down to the sepsis. My sense of taste has changed...
Hi;About three months ago I was proscribed with prostate cancer with a PSA of 67 and it has spread to my lymph glands and bones.I am under the Royal Marsden now who are recommending I start Chemo soon.Since my original diagnosis I have changed my diet completely and are taking Herbal substances resulting in my PSA reducing to 7.I have been on hormone tablets and injections and continuing.
