    Days Pass So Slowly

We did manage to sleep last night. My poor Dad has got a chest infection and was being sick alot last night, my Mum was worried. She thinks it's part of the shock of losing his Mum. He has been in bed all day, his whole body is hurting. I am still crying now and again, my brother Simon came from London and he didnt want to talk. In the end we talked and had a cry together. He can't believe she went so fast.

My Aunt and Dad went through my Grandma's papers and found some cash she left for...

  • Roland Ratso the aftermath. Life in bumland.
    My grand daughter

Evie, aged two (the terrible twos?) is the light of my life and we went to the shops yesterday. I have laways been up front with my stoma and my bag and she has asked a lot of questions. In the queue at the CO-OP we arrived at the checkout. I have got a large rupture on my stoma and sometimes it pokes out very conspicuously. Evei turned round, patted my lump, and explained to the check out operator and anyone else who would listen "That's my poppa's bag. It's full of poo and it's going to burst!...

  • B.E,P 5 Chemotherapy Diary
    Day 47

    Cycle 3, Day 3
Sorry for the delay, Didn't really have the energy most of the time to update.

Still a little low on energy now so I will keep this relatively short, Just approaching day 4 of cycle 3, One more cycle left after this! yay! Definitely easier mentally to cope with things now, than the first cycle but feeling pretty fatigued physically. My legs are sore the same way my head was before my hair fell out so I imagine that the hairs on my legs are due to fall out over the next couple of...

  • B.E,P 5 Chemotherapy Diary
    Day 30
    Day 30

Ok, It's been a few weeks since the last update, mainly due to the cats chewing the laptop charger lead. Managing the second cycle a lot better than the first, Itching started yesterday, Feels a bit like sunburn on the back of my neck and just itchy in general. The numbness from the first cycle faded away but is coming back now, I'm assuming it will fade again after a while.

Also the tinnitus faded from first cycle but has come back with this one. In all, I'm feeling a lot more optimistic...

  • B.E,P 5 Chemotherapy Diary
    Day 11
    Day 11
Missed a few days of the diary as I was looking and feeling really ill and quite frankly was too embarrassed to post any.

I realise now that was silly, as the point of this was to track my progress and the changes that are happening, so that not just me, but hopefully somebody else, can gain a better sense of how chemotherapy might effect them and the rates of the changes etc.

It's really hard to cope with when you don't know how it will go, All of the online diaries I have found are either...

  • B.E,P 5 Chemotherapy Diary
    Day 4

    Day 4,
I Thought a progressive diary on here would help me keep things in focus and in perspective. I feel a bit rougher than the other day, Face feels fat as hell haha, Must be all the drip fluids there pumping into me, Still no pain whatsoever though so I can't complain about a hot and fat feeling face lol feels a bit like sunburn. Hairs thinning a bit at the front but I don't really care. I'd swap my hair for a break from that nasty pain anytime. xxx Love you all and thanks for the support....
