    Day 1 to 3

Hi, I had a deep skin graft performed on the side of my nose on Thursday and am currently waiting in anticipation to see if the graft has worked, stitches will come out on Thursday of next week so fingers crossed. History: I had a small lump develop on the side of my nose about 18 months ago and thought nothing of it. Playing rugby I would often bash my face and this area would bleed, again I put it down to rugby and carried on. About six months ago it started to bleed on its own accord without being...

  • Brother has Mesothelioma
    Nausea preventing eating.

My brother has terminal mesothelioma and very little time left. He is basically starving to death because he can't face food or even the mention of it without experiencing nausea.

He has little pain & is only taking 2mg morphine 2 - 3 times daily, and a stool-softener to counteract the morphine/inaction/poor diet.

Tried steroid once, but said made feel sick & very ill, so very reluctant to try again.

Anyone got experience of similar problem & able to offer advice?  Would be...

    The Sensitivities of Beasts

Oh the daft, silly and trivial places my troubled mind can travel with insignificant worries pre op.

Not the reasonable, logical worries that aren't actually realistic but a significant few have,

    such as:

Will I awake whilst the surgeon is a slicing....

Will they become distracted answering the ultimate question "This is the right breast, right ?" not noticing the pointing finger to the Left breast and simply replying "Yes its the Right breast"...

    Dodgy anaesthetic equals ...

    Random Acts of Kindness Day

Today is random acts of kindness day. But is an act of kindness ever really random? Are the acts of a friend bringing your favourite treat or sending a well timed text not the very opposite of random? Perhaps they have seemingly come out of the blue but are they not, in fact, consciously considered acts of kindness, and isn’t that what makes them all the more marvellous and meaningful?

Then horrible things started to happen down below and the pain got worse then I couldn't hardly sit down and then I was passing blood and went to the doctor she was a new doctor called Dr McMillan and she tried to do...
