Another few weeks has flown by! I am ‘sort of’ back at work! I love my job and as I work from home, it is a very easy transistion to make. I feel extremely well, both physically and mentally and have good energy levels again. I started my Herceptin injections last week, but was fine, aside from being sick just afterwards, then again a few days in. My Magnesium levels have finally settled down and I can now take sachets as opposed to infusions. I start radiotherapy on Tuesday, for 15 sessions and...
I do not mean to sound selfish in this blog, I more confused with emotions.
My wbc seems to drop very low, .6 this time, and then takes a long time to rebuild, leaving me very weak. Able still to shower each day though.
All symptoms I have described to the doctor do not seem alarming to him, but I WISH so for a key to building more energy.

Hi everyone, I recall reading some time ago that if someone found the treatment process for breast cancer fairly easy that they wouldn't be using this site to say so. Well I am one of those people who had an easy process during treatment. I put this down to early diagnosis and excellent care by the medical team that looked after me. I've mentioned that I play the ukulele. It's become one of life's pleasures. I have no formal musical training and it has been quite challenging to learn to play *and* sing at the same time.
I have a few songs on the go (learning and improving) at the moment, and one I love is Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". Well I last updated 3 days ago and thought by now I would be feeling better, no, how wrong am I . When I said this has hit me harder this time it is also going on for longer. Previously I have felt fairly good as taking the steroids, finish them have a major meltdown for a day or 2 and then back to normal (well, as normal as you can be with this poison through your body).
Not this time the emotional side of it has JUST about subsided but the physical side is still well and truly there.

Not even sure I have the right to post on here as my wife hasn't officially been diagnosed with Cancer and I have always thought that Macmillan was meant for terminally ill people .
But since they have found a "Lump" on an endoscopy to see what was causing her Anemia we have been dealing with Macmillan Nurses and Cancer Surgeons.
