Well day 6 after my Mothers 14 hour operation and still cant really believe this has happened. There has NEVER been cancer in our family and then out of the Blue around Easter this year my Mum was told, you have jawbone cancer and you will need a big operation...... Well I had never even heard of jawbone cancer but god I have found out so much in such a short space of time.
My mum was diagnosed 3b last year with cancer spread to the omentum and bowel. She uderwent chemo and was given the all clear last dec 09. I have looked on various websites incl cancer reasearch that suggest regular check ups every 2-3 months in the beginning, becoming less frequent as time goes on. It is my consultant who keeps on harping on about diet.To be fair he doesn't say vegan but he does say limit dairy ALOT and NO red meat and lots of garlic, onions(shallots, leeks etc),broccolli.I have also heard that raspberries...
