Havent blogged in absolutely ages. After getting the all clear I have been trying to get back on top of things and enjoying life again. Trying to remember that its not the end of the world if my hubby and i cant have a family, I am still here and still alive and thats important. And I have ben doing really well too. Finally feel like I am getting backto the old self. Back and work, which is good at helping to bring back the routine.

I found out that my mum has 4 tumours in her brain after she was had a seizure now as we know - Jacksons seizure. That was around 4 weeks ago and every week we are seeing her change and her life become more difficult. The first couple of weeks were spent discovering if she had cancer elsewhere in her body. Now we are assured she hasn't and it is the ones in her brain alone. She had to undergo a biopsy and they decided that RT was the right treatment for her. I don't understand the choices of treatment...

Tomorrow is my PET scan to see if this cyst on my liver which I have had from the start is just that a harmless cyst.
I am feeling very very scared and anxious, my heart is pounding and I feel sick.
I keep telling myself that it is best to find out for sure, and if it is bad news then we can crack on and do something about it. It doesn't help me.
I just want this to be over. I have the same sinking feeling I had during my darling husbands illness, like I have a noose around my neck and it...

Less pain today but still enough.... and less fluid or smell from the wound so maybe the antibiotics are doing their stuff.
Nurse at the walkin centre did the same routine of picking off sluff and chrystalised bits as much as my pain barrier would allow. then prontosan soaking and more debriding. then bandage up. More this time to try and stop the xupad and iodoflex pushing downwards.

Been really feeling down recently, worrying about Kevs operation.
Hello.
This is my first ever blog and not entirely sure what I'm doing!
My father has been given a very short prognosis of a number of weeks. He originally had bladder cancer which was treated but the treatment masked the effects of rare cancer cells originating in the pancreas and travelling to the peritoneum around the intestines and stomach.
He is an alcoholic and has smoked at least a packet of cigarettes a day for over 30 years. There does not appear to be a direct link between this...
I was not able to take my 2nd chemo on the 28th May because my white blood cell count was really low - 0.6 and it has been postponed till 4th June.
I am sad but what can I do??? I hope my wbc would have increased by then. Oncologist said I will be taking injections to help my wbc.
Meanwhile, my lumps has reduced but it keeps itching me from inside. My hair has gone and my scalp aches me. Is that normal?
Mum having a better day today she has eaten her first proper meal in 2 weeks lets hope she continues to eat she not had diahrrea today so fingers crossed it continues but i dont think it will. I think it'll be back in a few days but who knows
Jean
