So Today I finally became a fully paid up member of this club. Up until now I have felt like a bit of a fraud. A bit like it wasn't really happening. Just words being said to me and nothing of it was really real.
Let me go back to the very start to explain.
On 19 April 2014 I made yet another trip to the home of my beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers to see what became one of the most memorable games I have ever seen a 6 - 4 win over Rotherham. I came out of the game feeling great, and had just...
The second appointment with the consultant was last Friday. He feels a bit like an old friend now, and I recognise the nurse too, so it's a comfortable experience now. Explained to him the results of everything that's happened since I last saw him and the dates for RT starting next week.
He gave everything a check and was very pleased with the way it was all progressing. he looked at the 2 stiches in my side that are still quite visible and explained that these are deep stitches that will...
Well I finally got my phone call two week's ago to go Into hospital for my final two "procedure's" on the 20th of this month and straight away I'm nervous. I don't know why. I will be out cold when they do It so that part will be over . . . .I hope . . . This past week I've been experiencing doubt's that the cancer Is gone. I've been getting ache's In my groin again and a feeling of nausea. I had these before I was diagnosed and my urine smell's. I've not said anything...
Well we're half way there, third chemo session was Friday just gone and to be honest it could have gone better but then again I don't suppose OH helped himself by drinking a bottle of red the night before. Completely wiped him out this time but as usual up and at work on Saturday, which is fine but when he crashes there's only me to pick up the pieces.
OH had a bit of a reaction on Friday to one of the drugs so a slight worry and looked close to tears all the way through. Under protest...
So went to spend the morning with mum and dad today it was so nice. Starting to see small changes now like dad gets major anxiety if he is going somewhere without mum which is so not like him he is usually a independent strong person, also confusion and forgetfulness if mum isn't with him my brother has to remember the pin number on dad's card and what account ect as dad forgets. We had to have a major chat today about someone always being in the house with dad just because the threat of seizures...
Every day is a struggle, today was no exception. The day started off ok, sun was shining, I had managed to sleep more than four hours, yay. Went for a nice walk, had brekkie . . . . . . . Started pottering around the house, as i do then all went downhill ! knocked my funny bone-which wasnt funny, stubbed my toe, then to top it off I dropped a shelf on my foot!ouch!! A lot of swelling and brusing but luckily no breaks, At the time, yeah it hurt, but I carried on 'pottering', then I started 'seein...
Hi everyone.
So today I had mum come over for coffee which was so great as she hardly has time to get away from dad. We talked about all the big things like funeral and housing plans when it's just mum and my young brother. It was very emotional but much needed. I've found one of the hardest things is treading carefully with mum as not to add pressure so I've refrained from bringing up funerals and big things.
It however was a extremely honest tearful conversation which was so good...
I don't know when I last wrote to you or when I last really spoke about you. I apologize, I don't mean to forget you.
I used to count the days since you left this World, since you left me. I don't anymore. I still remember though - the dates, conversations, what we wore, the weather.
On the 13th of October, we drove from Nottingham to Halifax to see you. I knew you weren't well, Grandad kept telling us. In the daytime, I was in your dining room with you. You said "I have something for...
