    The saga goes on...

Yet another bad day in my household - what a surprise! Got to go pick up my 73yr old father this afternoon after he has had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his forehead. Also just found out that my brother has found a mole on his chest that has changed & he is waiting for an appointment with the specialist - he had a dysplastic mole removed 8 years ago. Now I have just received a call from my GP with the results of my spine xrays last week. Nothing was found on my spine, GOODY, however 2 swollen...

    Funny but great

Well what a funny treatment this time. I was sooooo ill more or less from the outset right up until saturday when I felt very tired and sick. I went to bed after X factor and had the best nights sleep I have had in ages. ( My boyfriend had gone home the day before he only stays if I am unwell) I awoke sunday morning to a beautiful sunny day. My friend (who is a widow too ) rang and suggested we ventured out for a walk and had sunday roast somewhere. So at 1-30 we set off and did a bit of a pub crawl...

    Things That Calm the Soul

It is sunny here today on the Boston harbor.  I can't see a cloud in the washed out kind of a blue sky that we have.  And little wind, and best of all, about 60 warm degrees.  And I still have roses on my front bushes (wild ones) that I don't know the names of.  But one is red and the other a very deep pink.  Very nice to look at while doing the dishes!

Honey is watching the football game and I am about to get offline and tend to my crafts for 'therapy'.  Very soothing to my soul.  I might...

    Karen's Catch-Up #2

All too soon it was back in for the 3rd and final dose of IVE which means being hooked up to a drip from Wednesday to Sunday. Just a case of sitting it out really - no sickness a bit of nausea at first. It’s just a slog really because they have to test your urine for blood all the time and you’re woken up for observations and changing bags over during the night. By the end of the week I’m just really tired. So nothing to whinge about at all really, haha. I was doubly pleased that they’d got it...

    Perspective on life

I know my blogs are not a patch on other peoples but its nice to be able to put some things down.

I have just come back from the rememberance service at our local War Memorial and my cancer now seem so trivial, it puts things into perspective.

Also my wife has had the all clear again after her annual check up. Gill had breast caancer about 10 years ago and after removal of the offending lump and radio therapy she has consistently had good reports. But at the back of your mind you do wonder if the...
