Perspective on life

Less than one minute read time.

I know my blogs are not a patch on other peoples but its nice to be able to put some things down.

I have just come back from the rememberance service at our local War Memorial and my cancer now seem so trivial, it puts things into perspective.

Also my wife has had the all clear again after her annual check up. Gill had breast caancer about 10 years ago and after removal of the offending lump and radio therapy she has consistently had good reports. But at the back of your mind you do wonder if the little b....r is waiting to hit you again when and where you least expect it.

Feel sorry for our family, both parents with cancer!

Hello Adrian, Yes It's good when we can put our ill's into perspective. I used to go to the parade  at Whitehall every year until a bad car accident in 2002 put a stop to it! I live in N. Yorks so it was a long way but I loved to go, my grandad and dad were in the 1st and 2nd world wars, both survived T.G.  You're blessed to have a family to love and care for you. Wishing you both to be well, Linda

It is amazing what we find important and unimportant once diagnosed with cancer.  But one person's misfortune does not necessarily diminish another's.  What we do and how we feel about our 'misfortunes' is what is important.  And by the way, your patch IS important. x
