At 9.45 tonight Julie spoke her last words to me.................... "I Love You" .................I replied "I Love You"
There was nothing more to say
She has no more pain
OK so I am now a bonafide member of the Sorafenib ? placebo ? trial , first day was Tuesday 13 th of july 2011. no ill effects yet. although the wifes got tummy ache. hehe.
My David is still in so much pain in his ear and neck, eating is becoming hard to manage as swallowing is difficult and he is losing weight again.
Stress is doing it I know, but there is always that thought at the back of your mind !!!!!!!
His Citalopram has been upped to 40mg on the advice of his counciller as she has notice his decreasing mood, he has an appointment with her later today but is talking about cancelling it. gggrrrrrrrrrr
Whatever he wants? When he is in this mood there is nothing...
I had to feed Julie last night - pasta with a bolognase sauce, and I cried as I spooned it in. Our 22 month Grandson has more control over a spoon.
Our Mac nurse said " things are definatly changing" - don't I know it. Sometimes she answers when I speak and sometimes she looks straight through me. I also have to help her hold a beaker to drink.
The steroids will be upped tomorrow and maybee she will be more with it, only time will tell.
I've been loosing a lot of sleep recently so...
Hi ALL
I Was On "watch and wait" now "watch and live", much has changed since diagnosis, many symptoms and side effects, but many more friends than those, who have helped me learn about the disease and how to live again. I have met many of us far and wide, young and old, pretreatment "watch and wait", first treatment, "watch and wait/remission", in further treatments and sadly have lost a few. All are friends who affect my life in one shape or form and allowed...
Well judging by the previous posts 12th july was a good day for a lot of people. I also finished my treatment today! After being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2010, I have since had a mastectomy and reconstruction, chemo, radiotherapy and 12 months herceptin, the last of which was Tuesday. I have to see my onco in 6 weeks for follow up, but treatment is done! I have yet to have further surgery, but this will be in a few months time, I came home from the hospital yesterday, got straight on the...
Today I had my final Chemo - on my terms, i.e.no deviation in the full Fec75 dosage in spite of reacting harder than had been hoped for. my hb is 10.9, my wbc 11.2, plts 253 and nuetrophils are 6.9 but Ihave reached my target and although I am already moaning about the recognised reactions I thank heaven for aids such as portacaths and my staple Dom Peridone and the fact that this continues to work for me in spite of my fears regarding overuse - the nausea and at this stage the retching is quite...
Happy day! I took the final Capecitibine tablets this morning and I am now a drug-free zone! Cakes at work and cards and flowers at home.
I have an oncology review on Friday and I think I'll be booked in for a scan or two - but this marks a new phase: checking up on me instead of treating me. Just over one year since diagnosis and just under one year since treatment started.
Thank you everyone for your support and kind words over the past year. I've been so lucky with my family, friends and...
Thanx to Den5365 for your msg.
New to all this and IT skills 1 step up from Prehistoric so fingers crossed ... Anyone got any advice on what to do if someone with GBM4 has a siezure ? Dad's not had one yet, and may not, but they keep asking at appts and Mum(76) anxious about what to do in the event. I've given her advice on how to manage it and then call 999 but no one's actually told us ??
