    Did I mention the ducks?

Well, nice long sleep with no weird dreams, ok, rephrase that, no gory dreams, as mine are always a bit odd, its the nature of dreams isn't it?

I was rearranging a house with an ex, and setting up a stall selling clothes and food in the market. And why not? :)

AH yes, ducks. We had 7 to begin with, they were a 'rescue'. They roam freely in my mini field all day, and tucked up in their duck house (which was a present for my 40th birthday from my mum) at night. But, we have lost 3. Fox? Nah...

    What a couple of Weeks!
Having spent time writting comments on several blogs, when I went back to check for updates none of my comments were there. AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH. I did log a technical report, and got a message saying I should be able to now, but still didn't seem to be able to. Just tried again this evening, and my comment appeared, hooray.
During the week after I got in from dropping the kids at school about 11am, no wonder I never have time to do anything we stood talking / catching up on six weeks worth...

  • The mysteries of Mo
    September 17th 2011

Mo woke at 5am didn't actually feel her get up,just heard her crying in the front room.I got up to see what was wrong,"I just wanted a drink but it was too far",she said, bless her! Then she said that "She didn't want to wake me up & that she was selfish","Thats the one thing you aren't", I replied as I gave her a big hug. "Yesterday was too much with Paul" Mo then said crying on & Off I said "Yes I know but at least he wants to come up more and spend some quality time with you", she agreed but promptly...

  • The mysteries of Mo
    September 16th 2011

Paul and Ewa visited today popped up to see Mo and give me a birthday card & present as it was my birthday as well.To be honest I hadn't given it much thought,I had been too busy with nurse visits, social services visiting, telephone calls etc.Hadn't seen or spoken to Paul, only the occasional text, for about a week.I felt he needed the time to take things in about his mums cancer and he admitted that he had found it hard and been at that denial phase,in fact we all needed to 'take things in'and I didn...

    *waving feebly*

    Good evening guys n gals.

Woke at 8am, didn't really get sleepy enough to go back to bed, decided to drive out with my 13 yr old and meet a friend for lunch, that exhausted me so had a good 3 hour nap when we got back!

I am not feeling worse each time after chemo, but I am feleing progressively more knackered! My two days off afterwards MUST be just that, keeping visitors to a minimum and not going anywhere, get myself ready for the Monday back at work ... thankfully YOU lovely lot keep me...

My wonderful amazing Hero - my Dad

Wow !! I have just read some blogs and we're not alone. When you're told someone you love has cancer you feel very alone and scared don't you.  We were told last week that my Dad's cancer is back, last time he required no chemo only an op, this time the full works to try and recover.

He is the most wonderful dad anyone could have and I'm scared that he won't survive, I couldn't imagine my life without him. He is my hero and makes me feel safe - I love him to the ends of the earth...

    The BICH is back!

No, it's not a spelling error. BICH stands for Benign IntraCranial Hypertension. It's a condition that I suffer from where the pressure of the Cerebro-Spinal fluid builds up and causes pressure on my brain. This results in severe headaches, dizziness, nausea (sometimes vomiting) and extreme tiredness.

The only treatment for this is lumbar puncture to relieve the pressure. Apparently there are diuretics available which work directly on the brain, but they are reluctant to prescribe them because...

    what's it all about

my wife has just been diagnosed...starts chemotherapy on monday 23rd. it's a horrible new experience for us both.   are we being wrong in being apprehensive.  we hear so many different stories about friend's friend's friends and their experiences. but have never really come in contact with any one who has undergone chemo.  you can read up on the subject but it's not the same as hearing from someone who has gone through the procedure.    any comments would be welcome [ as long as they are...
