A little while after Chris the Hospice at Home nurse had left,Chris the District Nurse arrived to do Mo's syringe drivers.I was on my way out as Eve my respite carer had turned up as it was Tuesday.I went to speak to Chris and tell her what had happened to Mo earlier. As I did the tears came back and I got all choked,Chris noticed and asked me if I wanted a night carer to come in tonight so I had someone else with me she felt I may of needed it considering what had happened and she could arrange it...
Went to check Mo this morning at 9am and found her and the bedding covered in urine,OMG!!."You left me wet ALL night" Mo said angrily and glaring at me."I'm so sorry luv",the tears welling up inside me ..again!. "I didn't know I just didn't know" I said.I felt unbelievably guilty,Mo had been fine all night there had been no indication whatsoever that she wasn't.I hadn't heard Mo sounding uncomfortable or distressed in anyway on the baby monitor which was on its highest setting.I would of heard SOMETHING...
Hello All,
Our M has just been to visit me, we had the normal chit chats, what he’s doing at the moment, what’s gone on in the week, who’s done what, who’s said what and called the usual people etc, now of all my lads M being the eldest (29) understands more than most because he’s seen quite a lot of his fair share of life, some good and some bad but he’s just knocked me bloody sideways with one comment! Having phoned everyone the good news last Tuesday, to tell them that the cancer appeared to...
I've spent hours thinking about starting a blog & what I'd include, and now I've finally got one started my mind has gone blank!
I'll be back soon! - Maybe when tea doesnt need cooking, kids dont need running around & I have time to think!
I don't know how many of you will remember Shelley and Laurence from this site, but, for those of you who do I just wanted to let you know that Laurence sadly passed away yesterday from a throat infection.
He put up a very brave fight against this dreadful disease with his lovely wife Shelley and family with him every step of the way.
May he Rest In Peace xxx

So last Thursday morning we go off to the hospital to see the MHT....very good on arrival, only waited 5mins, and we were a bit early.
Two guys sat asking Dave how he was feeling and what they think would benefit him.....up the Mirtazapine to 45mg.....do you agree David.."well yes, whatever you say". In steps the angry, frustrated cant believe this shite wife.
Firstly, I want to know what is it that you actually want to achieve with...

While we were waiting for the nurses I had got upset with Paul and Ewa and went outside and cried my eyes out.Things had just got on top of me,not for the first time but I did eventually come back in but still quite upset.I was just angry, well more frustrated than angry with Paul and Ewa about Mo's future care.Trying to get paul to agree with getting Mo into 'respite care' had been a 'bone of contention'between us for a little while now.Unfortunately the tears returned, frustrated,I said to Paul"Its...
