    disappointed

have been flitting in and out of the chat room and cannot believe some of the rubbish in there! I thought it would be a good place to get some support from like-minded sufferers but I guess I must be wrong in that assumption! Obviously I don't fit into the group so guess I will have to find some support from somewhere else! Sorry if that sounds very negative but I could have done with some boosting up tonight. Hey ho. onward and upward.

Just a random 'down' day? & far too many 'maybe's!!

I had good news two days ago, so why do I feel so pants right now?

I can’t really explain it, it’s kind of like an anticlimax. Friends had talked about celebrating when I had good news, but I don’t feel like doing anything now I am in a position to celebrate.

I had two offers last night, a girly night on Friday & an adult only weekend at Butlins in a couple of weeks, and I turned them both down. I made excuses both times because I don’t know how to tell people I no longer feel...

I'm not sure what to do now.

I lost my dad nearly six months ago to lung cancer, only 8 weeks after diagnosis. I live close to my mum but we are two people who rub each other up the wrong way if we spend too much time together and now we're starting to argue and fall out. I get annoyed by the fact that she genuinely doesn't seem to see that anyone else's life has changed but hers, at one point a few months ago she actually turned round to me and said ' well everyone else's life but mine is just carrying on as it was before,...

    Condolences!

It seems that the only time I am on site these days I am posting bad news, but wasn't sure if any of you had heard the sad news that Anna John's beautiful wee girl Charly had passed away?

I send my deepest condolences to all of Charly's family and friends. She was one brave, inspirational wee girl. My thoughts are with her lovely family. May she Rest In Peace.

    Love, Christine xx

    Good news - officially!

    Saw the consultant today.

    MGUS confirmed!

X-rays clear & bone marrow plasma cells only 1%.

He did discuss Myeloma but doesnt predict any problems for decades if at all.

Due to only being 40 years old he's going to follow me up in clinic rather than handing over to the GP.

Next appointment in 6 months for repeat bloods.

If only small or no change, annual follow up after that.

    Yay!

    Thanks for all suport guys!.xxx

    Too late to say goodbye

My 88yr old mum-in-law has been suffering from the early stages of Alzheimers for the last 2 years & I am her main carer. She hasn't seen or spoken to her only sister Doreen (who lives close by) for several years as they have always had a bit of a volatile relationship with each other - both having strong characters. My hubby hadn't seen his aunt either but I have recently been bumping into his cousin at the supermarket & his aunt Doreen has been made aware of her sister's failing...

    Life can be so cruel

I have not been on the site for a while as there was a lot of doubt about the genuineness of people and accussations of people being too negative, but things are still going down hill and I needed to let off some steam where no one knows me and I can rant without people saying that I should just be grateful that he is still here.

Dad has had a really hard time recently with an operation on his spine, a tumour taken off his face and now being told that the cancer has spread to his bones. Life does...
