disappointed

Less than one minute read time.

have been flitting in and out of the chat room and cannot believe some of the rubbish in there! I thought it would be a good place to get some support from like-minded sufferers but I guess I must be wrong in that assumption! Obviously I don't fit into the group so guess I will have to find some support from somewhere else! Sorry if that sounds very negative but I could have done with some boosting up tonight. Hey ho. onward and upward.

    Oh Daisy xxxx

It was quite light-hearted when I logged on tonight and people don't tend to use the other rooms.

It's sad that you weren't supported tonight. Next time, if you tell people you are feeling low, they will just stop chatting and I'm sure they will help you. There can be some fantastic support in there and there are some lovely people.  I'll be sure to say hello to you if I'm ever in there when you are.

Don't let this put you off.

Sending you lots of love xxxxxx

    Hi daisydot,

I live alone, and I know how lonely it can get when you have no one to confide in and I'm sorry you didn't get the support you deserved in chat today. Many people in chat are there to help people such as you and I have received  a lot of support from them. Unfortunately some people do seem to be there just for fun.

Yes, often they will be talking a lot of rubbish because you can't be serious all the time, but if you ask simply "Can anyone help me" I am sure that someone will hear your cry for help and do their best for you. There are some very good people who visit the chat room!

I hope your scan results were good today and if you ever want someone to talk to, just pm me. I normally pick up messages at least three times a day - not as instantaneous as chat, but we could arrange to meet in chat and go private there.

Alternatively, you can phone the Macmillan free help line on: 0808 808 00 00.

I hope you will get the support you need on this site, which is the best site for patients and carers.

    Big Hugs,

    Colin xxx

    Daisy,

Always shout up in chat if you need support.  People will stop their general conversations to help.

There is a problem in that if we are helping someone in a personal message then we cannot read the room so now some people can feel left out.

Warning do not give out your telephone number, personal email facebook or msn.  Always use the personal messaging system otherwise you can get harassed.  Genuine people will not be offended if you just use the pm system. People who have ignored this advice can find themselves plagued by someone.

    Hugs,

    Jan xx
