I give up!! My husband had his emergency op when they discovered his cancer exactly one year ago now - and in all this time his sister has not once been up to see him and rarely rings. The last occasion her husband rang and when my husband asked to talk to her, was told she was engrossed watching the TV, so he left it!!
When I got upset with my sister-in-law a little while back, she said it was not that she did not love my husband, but she had seen her husband's cousin when she had terminal breast...
The day before the day before something is a curious time. Anticipation is building yet it's not actually the day, or even the day before the day..
Have been out and had a haircut and bought a few new clothes specially for the occasion. Now just bored waiting...

Well.. it's been a long while since the last post and not a great deal has changed except the date. We are now into the final countdown.. nails are being bitten to the quick, clothes are being washed.. maps are being pored over...
Hayling Island here we come...
As most of you know uncle passed away today,I was with him for 3 hours just holding his hand and talking to him. I knew he was going to die and was prepared ( in my own way) for it. I said all the things I wanted to say to him and thought long and hard about staying another hour. Rightly or wrongly I decided to leave him. Drove home to hear the house phone ringing..it was the nursing home, he'd passed away an hour after I left! Just my luck..but then thinking of it I don't know if I'm sort of glad...
Despite my promises to myself to give my job a fair chance it looks as though I've managed to last all of two days because after this morning I'm almost certain I can never go back again. I just don't need the stress or the misery. My job has changed out of all recognition and I just don't feel up to the challenge of learning all the new tasks they want me to take on. I had to choke back tears more than once and took in almost nothing I was being shown. All I could think of was that...
