    Day 1 of Cycle 1
We arrived at the hospital so early that we were there before the Ward staff - talk about keen. We live on a little island and whilst our hospital is small, it is brand new. We don't have a resident Oncologist - a guy from Liverpool pops over every Thursday and a very nice lady - chief oncology nurse - is in charge whilst he's away. She made us very welcome and allocated us a small private room off the Oncology lounge. Nice big lounge chair, table, guest chair and windows overlooking the surrounding...

    Tangled up in blood vessels
Hello out there, My Civil partner was diagnosed a few weeks ago with an inoperable adinocarcinoma and the biopsy has confirmed it. She is 54 and was working until diagnosis. We now know that we have possibly a year together until she dies. We have entered a new and strange kingdom called Cancerworld which is full of MST and movicol and trips in all directions. We are waiting for the Oncologist to leap into action and offer palliative chemo....another decision she has to make. Maybe someone who has...

    New to all this!
Diagnosed in March'April. Operated on in May - radical hysterectomy. Had clear cell carcinoma so have now been offered chemo. Can't stand the idea of hair falling out so have to get decent wig. VERY costly though - the ones you can sleep and swim in are several £k. Yikes! Funny how the the mind concentrates on trivia like this when chemo will make me quite ill. Totally illogical.
