    Hi Cherryl,

I've contacted a mutual friend of ours - he who no longer appears on this site(!) - and he's kindly given me the following links.

    I hope these are useful

    www.cancer.gov/.../HealthProfessional

    www.ahrq.gov/.../milktsum.htm

    Love to you both

    Gary

Thanks for that, did read the info you and your 'friend' suggested and came to the conclusion that if you feel it is doing you good there is no harm in taking it.

Hope Clare is OK at the moment?

& reckless youth I used to take this herbal tincture to help clear out my liver.  This was usually after a heavy night of drinking though!  I'm not sure about its affect on cancer but I found it quite stimulating.  It didn't appear to do me any harm but I do have a liver problem anyway.  I try to take things like this in moderation as medical evidence is limited.

My friend has had a liver test, not for cancer, but her results came back with something out of the ordinary so while she is waiting for an appointment to discuss said test she read somewhere that Milk Thistle cleans toxins?  She has now decided to take it to improve her results??

Hope all is well with you Chai.  Peter has just had his 2nd chemo infusion which didn't go down to well with him.  New nurse, not offay with cannulas so he ended up on the floor (well almost) with blood pressure etc plummeting with him.  Suggested he have a PICC line inserted but he thinks he will try to be a brave little bunny, next time, instead.  The only other problem with the chemo he has had is the expected pins and needles.  So far, so good.

Hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather and that it is not playing havoc with any treatments you may be having.
