    Chapter 1
Have just logged on and found all the lovely messages of support from everyone, thank you so much. I will respond but am just a little too emotional right now. We met Joe's surgeon yesterday - i'm in shock, we are all in shock. He says that Joe must have a total gastrectomy because he believes that the cancer is a genetic fault within the stomach itself. I just didnt expect this and have absolutely no idea what this will mean for Joe longterm. On monday Joe and I will go in to hospital for a...

    A glorious week off!
yes, we are two sessions down and only 1 more to go and it's 10 day's off before the last of the chemo cycles. Hubby is in fine form. We had a bit of retail therapy today and we did loads of shopping - mainly because he can't go as fast as me so he can't slow me down! We did new printer, new tv, new kitchen tables... chairs... the list goes on.... We came home and hubby got stuck in to getting everything sorted (I have this passion about not seeing 'wires'). At the end of the day we sat back and...

    Radiotherapy trials and tribulations
Clive is now on day 7 of his radiotherapy. He felt quite bad last week and was the lowest I've seen him. He has developed a nasty cough and is bringing up lots of saliva. The radiotherapist says the tumour can be pushing on the windpipe and can cause the cough and it also makes you create too much saliva, which is also not flowing down as easily as normal, so getting rid of it is a good idea. This does seem to have improved a bit over the last couple of days, so hopefully the radiotherapy is starting...

    MY WONDERFUL RAY
I have brought my wonderful husband Ray home from hospital today so that he can pass away in his own home. I cannot tell you what I am feeling at the moment as my emotions are all shot away. The palliative nurse has told me that he has days or even a week before he is with me no longer. I cannot imagine life without him, he is my soul mate, my lover, my friend, my everything and the love of my life and I don't know how I will cope without him. He is asleep in his own bed at the moment after...

A load of Waffle!(I didnt know what else to write about)x
Was hoping to go away for the weekend ( a long weekend!!) but I got my scan appointment for Monday so that put a spanner in the works!! Maybe in a couple of weeks time instead! Work has been good too, picked up again after my 3 weeks off except Wednesday was too busy for me, I was shattered and still havent managed to catch up. Although I feel very well I have underestimated how tired I get and how easily I get tired too. I may have to rethink my hours if it continues. Also I havent been sleeping...

  • Bertiebassetts Return Journey
    Remission well maybe not!!!
Bert had another Bone Marrow Biopsy on Tuesday and we were supposed to get our results today. However, the aspiration was not a good one so we will have to wait until next Thusrday to get the results of the Trephine (bone) His neutrophils are dropping rapidly as is his platelets. The consultants say it does not look like it will be good news but they are not sure if it will be Leukaemia back or MDS so until next week we live in hope Love Teri
