    MRI Scan

    Hi All

Going for my 1st mri scan on thursday and I am very nervous about it.  The consultant damaged my jugular bulb in the op and had to finish early so does not think he has all the tumour. It will need another op, hope not.

    Our daughter Jill

Jill has been in hospice approx 6 weeks now , and at present is fine . The Docs have told that there have been no less than 4 occasions, when they felt she would leave us, remarkably she keeps coming albeit not just the same as before . Her eyesight is now affected and so is her ability to work unaided . When we were told that no further active treatment was available , we found it very hard as a family to accept that we were to lose our youngest daughter ( 19) to this brain tumor .  What we are thankful...

    Bertie Bassetts Return Journey

Hi Most of you who know me know that Bert has been re-admitted to hospital. For anyone who does not know me I will try and keep this brief.

Last September Bert was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, it was originally thought that this had evolved from Myelodysplasia and his only chance of cure was Bone Marrow Transplant. After many tests it was decided he did not infact have Myelodysplasia but did have AML. 4 cycles of chemotherapy and almost 6 months in hospital we were told he was in remission...

    Glad to be back

Hi, I have missed not being able to log on to share for the last few days

I am still new to the site and I am still finding my way around.

I have received great comfort from the support not just to me but all over the site .

I also find the info on he site really helpful.

When my Dad fell ill 6 weeks ago  I just felt helpless and panicky.

    Thanks so much x

Found Positive Lady but where is everyone else?

I feel like I'm in the sea and I cannot swim (no really!  I can't swim) I think I am suffering from what my husband calls Instruction blindness.  I know if I ask for help or actually READ THE INSTRUCTIONS I will find Gary, Esme, Jen, Ann, Ribbsie and everyone else?
