We met in the park very lucky with the weather! we had a lovely stroll and a pleasant chat, he was a perfect gentleman. No awkward silences so that's a good sign. the conversation was light and amusing.
He had plans for Saturday night so we said goodbye about 4:30 with the understanding we would meet up again some time,

Hi,
Thank you for the messages helping us along, my husband had his consultants appointment on Wednesday and the consultant was shocked by the state of his skeleton, the xray and MRI scan showed he is pitted all over like dead coral and she described it as egg shell delicacy, therefore very open to fracturing, and at least three of his vertebrae have collapsed so this coming Friday the orthopedic consultant will cement them to avoid them continually touching his spinal cord, this is good news and...
My mum was diagnosed with colon cancer 3 weeks ago. The surgeon recommended she have an op. The problem is, she has already had 2 tumours removed from her colon and lost 50% of her colon. Faced with the prospect of a 3rd op, she is refusing to have any treatment. I am wondering what to do next. Try and talk her round? Wait for the disease to run its course? Try and get a Macmillan nurse involved? I'm wondering how long it will take before the cancer spreads. What will happen if she doesn't have any...
Its true what they say you cannot beat your own bed, poppdd my pills and slept soundly right through till 10.30 omg, no one waking me up hourly jusy to check my bp and pulse, felt really guilty when I finally crawled downstairs.
Felt really good, got the first lot of washing on and sitting enjoying a coffee with the other half when disaster struck........a daddy longlegs flew into my hair and before my lovely other half could intervene my natural reaction kicked in and my arm flew out and started...
I started radiotherapy last week and am not coping at all with the treatment. Travel can take up to an hour and half in an ambulance - just to get there ( a little quicker if a car is sent). I have not got anyone to travel with me - not that there would be rooom in the tgransport for extras anyway - so feel completely lost and alone on arrival. Hospital is so huge.
I am finding the radiotherapy treatment very claustrophobic, and the position I had to lie in for what seemed like forever was so painful...
This if my first attempt at a blog post so here goes nothing....lol.
March 09 - Caught a cold off my son, pitched on to my chest, went to doc's, had antibiotics, didnt work, went back admitted to hospital, penumonia! 5 days in hospital, discharged! (I had recurrent pneumonia but not for 7 years.)
May 09 - Had hospital appointment to check pneumonia gone. Pneumonia still showing but not as bad so doctor was happy with progress and said she didnt need to see me again. (I didnt see the consultant...
My mother in law was diagnosed in August with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer but has remained remarkably well since. She has had some swelling of her legs due to loss of Liver function and some bladder incontinance but has otherwise been able to do most things for herself.
Last Saturday she was admitted to hospital with a DVT and infection in the Gallbladder. She has struggled to regain the same vigour that she had before her admission. I haven't seen her myself as the children and I have been poorly...
