Got sent home from work on friday, it was a gorgeous day, and right about 11am Yvonne would have been buying the bbq and filling up the paddling pool for my cousins kids, but to me it's raining every day. Spent almost the whole day crying. Missing her so much, didnt realise that it was an acutal physical pain aswell as mental.
How do you deal with the anger? I'm so angry all the time, and i've got noone to blame! Want to blame god, but want to get into heaven to see her again, so who...

Well I haven't done a post for quite a few days now so I thought I would write a quick update of how last week went.
All in all it hasn't been a bad week. Sal still has part of her surgery wound that hasn't healed yet and that is the main issue right now. The surgery wound healed but when she was in hospital last cycle a 1 inch section of it came apart and got slightly infected. It hasn't really healed much since then. No one at the hospital seems concerned about it though. They have looked...
Hi to all,
Today is the third day when all I want to do is cry. I feel totally miserable and I don't know why, as now the pain is more under control I should be feeling better and I don't.
Feel better by late afternoon but mornings are so uncomfortable and by the time it's bed-time I feel shattered again.
When initially diagnosed in 2007 went through the treatment with not a tear shed, but now I think it's just hit me hard. I'm sorry to be miserable but if I speak out loud about how...
thanks for getting in touch Graeme. I thought the new oncology centre at Castle Hill was great as well. My specialist is a Dr M. Butt, and hes the chemo specialist. They are giving me anti-sickness drugs, and im going in as a day patient. As you say Graeme the new place is a world away from HRI. Keep in touch. Darter
….and an update. In reverse order. Ten weeks of the little “Red Devils” followed by a scan and then we’d see where we were going next. Ten weeks have gone and the scan has been done. Despite my reservations that nothing feels any different and my liver function hasn’t improved tremendously, Dr Socks has cast his “untrained eye” over the scan and thinks it’s worthwhile doing, possibly, another six weeks with the “Red Devils”. Shows what I know! Besides, untrained eye or not, Dr Socks...
Hi all, today was my assessment day at the brand new oncology centre at Castle Hill hospital in Cottingham near Hull. The place is marvellous not like a hospital at all. The actual assessment took just under 4 hours and i was shown round the treatment room, very nice. My nurse, mandi, gave me an injection in my bum ( i think she enjoyed that) and i started taking the folic acid tabs. My treatment starts a week today, the 28th, and i have to be at the centre by 8-30am. So much to take in but i'm sure...
A big hello to all my friends on here and to anyone who has never met me before.
I have just had 3 wonderful weeks away and came back to an emergency appointment with my oncologist.
Now let me start at the beginning. When all this happened to me the surgeon told me that I had a cist on the liver and that they were sure that that was all it was. I have had 4 scans since, 2 CT and 2 MRI and up until the last one in April my oncologist too was sure that it was just a harmless cist. My last scan was...
Why are people becoming friends with obvious scammers who seem to be treating this site as an internet dating service? The more they are encouraged, the more they will continue!
Thanks KATEG, thanks for the positive feedback. I know, like hundreds of people before me, that i'm going into unchartered territory, but i am trying to be upbeat about it. I'll keep you informed of my progress, so dont stop the blogs will you. UPBEAT DARTER
