re: graeme's blog

Less than one minute read time.

thanks for getting in touch Graeme.  I thought the new oncology centre at Castle Hill was great as well.  My specialist is a Dr M. Butt, and hes the chemo specialist.  They are giving me anti-sickness drugs, and im going in as a day patient.  As you say Graeme the new place is a world away from HRI.  Keep in touch.  Darter

hi ...i have the lady specialist called saffy ..she wears a head scarf and is darkish skinned..i also have dr di silva...he does thursdays [ usually ] in scarborough and the rest of the time hes at castle hill....

ward 33...down stairs in the lift and along the corridor to the end....arrgghhhh along way to sneak out for a quick smoke at times when i was in...

they say my NHL has nothing to do with me smoking and i klnow i should stop but im a stubborn bugger...[ or a fool maybe..lol ]

coffee on the ward was terible...so i sneaked off to the cafe in the main entrance loads of times....

they sent me to hull royal to have a hickman line fitted....up to the top floor but that was shut down for building work...down to the ground floor...then back up to a recovery ward with builders stomping about in hats and boots.....some one sat up on bed moaning and groaning like a zombie....no nurse taking any notice

    EEEEEEEK...

i am NOT staying here and though they tried to persuade me to stay i was off...

me being terrified of hospitals as it is....

anyway they got scarborough to do my hickman line....only they could not get the line in after nearly an hour of trying....veins kept popping or something..

anyway...yup castle hill is brilliant....saffy is one of my heros as is dr di silva....more like friends then just specialists......

met a few people from grimsby in castle hill....

hope everything will go as good as possible for you...

hope your gp sorted you out with a mac nurse....they can help solve any problem and answer any questions we have..

    all the best...

    HULL CITY FOR EVER...

    :-)
