Hello, I am looking for some advice - how do I tell my grown up children, sister and friends I have cancer - what are the kindest words ? I have been diagnosed for 2 months now and have had a total hysterectomy and will soon be having chemo. My husband knows of course and has been wonderful but like most men "doesn't speak about it" although he has been very helpful and supportive. I thought of say something like " I am ill at the moment but in 5 years I aim to be a cancer survivor...
We are still in touch with Jim, although its not as often as we'd like, so the information is a bit disjointed.
Anyway, since Jim's protracted stay in hospital after surgery things haven't been too good for him. He's still fighting but it seems he's having a tough time of things with some infections. Understandably he's a bit down about it and it seems to us, from the information we have, that Jim is not getting the medical support he warrants.

Mum died on 26th April. Spending 3 full months at home with family and friends, she had her last bleed on Sunday 25th April, was admitted into hospital, and passed away the following day at 6:38pm at ward 32 of Walsgrave Hospital.
An amazing woman, gracious and beautiful, right up to the end.
We raised £1000 for Macmillan just from collections and donations on the day of her funeral - a real testament to her giving and compassionate nature.
Goodbye Mum x

My Darling Husband who was diagnosed only 5 weeks ago with advanced pancreatic cancer has just told me and our GP that he does not want to go on.
He is now totally bedridden, has no quality of life and after playing 3 rounds of golf every week only in February wishes to die.
If he was an animal he would be given an injection to be put to sleep, I love him dearly but hate what this dreadful disese is doing to him.
