    Waiting

Well, it been over 3 months since i lost my Mum, and i am waiting for it to get better! I have been having a few more better days than sad days but am so very frustrated that i can't be strong and i can be fine one minute then bawling the next.

Driving is worse, when my mind is clear and then i start thinking and crying. And fantasising that if i just drive past her house she will be sat in the window doing her bit for neighbourhood watch as she liked to say.

I have so many questions in my...

sorry, new to all this blogging but just need to write it down i think. Dad had his oesphagus removed last aug and has done so well. did everything they told him to do , considering he has never trusted doctors before, this was very good for him, he has a couple of hernias at the same site and was going in for surgery but complained to his consultant that he was having some problems eating again so they sent him for camera down, they found more cancer at the join site and sent him for a ct scan,...

    The last chemio today

Dad had his last chemio today. I'm going back home on Thursday and hopefully this will cheer him up a bit and we can spend some time watching movies and maybe taking the dog for a walk (if he feels up to it - dad, not the dog!)

The next scan is on 29th November and mum sent me and my sister a message saying she's very worried as they haven't spend this long without seeing doctors or going to the hospital and she almost feels left alone. I live 1200 miles away, so I can't really help...

    tough weekend for mum

I don't want to bum anyone out but my mum's had a bit of a tough weekend. I haven't thought that the tramadol was doing it's job for a few weeks and that mum needed something stronger (she was at 400mg per day plus 50mg for breakthrough). I've lost track of how many times I've said to her she looks uncomfortable but she wasn't having it. She was offered morphine weeks ago and has refused it. But this weekend she had terrible pain on Sat am and refused to allow the Dr to...

A little bit of being normal

At last we have managed to get back into our old routine. Babysitting the granddchildren. Visiting family in Yorkshire. Going out for a meal and having a drink. Long may it continue!!

Going on chemo really stopped me wanting to do anything but I'm over that now. Chemo again on Thursday.

Last Ritux and then scans Husband now scared as to what they will find!

Its fast approaching my husbands last Ritux treatment (28th Oct) and then the following week he will undergo PET and CT scans to see if the Ritux has done its job.  He is very scared, isnt talking at all about anything really just quite withdrawn.  I have tried to engage him but I really dont know where to go with this.  I have told him that from the information on this site and blogs and forums that you lovely people have posted the outlook doesnt seem to be as grim and there is every possibility that...
