  • Working?
Making some plans but not others

Missed an entry last night, as I went to the PTA AGM. Wow I know how to party! :)

So I've been busy in work, arranging meetings with people who want to form links or hire our rooms etc, and some fun stuff such as planing the Xmas Fayre Fundraiser. I DO like my job, and feel very lucky that I do!

We have booked a holiday for March, as I am hoping that all treatments will be well and truly over by then. BUT that little bit of insecure doubt that cancer throws into your life is being...

    How I stopped smoking

If its any use..I use to smoke 100 roll ups a day, from 430am till 930-10pm,,,fingers,tongue,teeth like liquorice coloured…on Feb 1st 2002 my online friends said to me stop……. I just said yeaaah ok…. This is what helped.

    Everytime I fancied I reached for my mobile,(same shape as tin and lighter or a cig packet?) I started composing messages,grammar CORRECT,every T crossed,every I dotted,capitals in place,commas,EVERYTHING,real fiddly keys and concentration….texted...

  • I love her so much!
    I love her so much!

My gorgeous wife was finally diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in April 2011, it had spread to her vertibrae, liver and a number of spots in the node system. She had been having tests since November 2010. We know that it is one of the more treatable cancers but it is still very scarey. I have been to every hospital and doctors appointment and also to 11 of her 12 Chemotherapy sessions. Our marriage has become more and more strained and we are now in an awful situation. So much so that she would not...

  • The mysteries of Mo
    October 5th 2011 (pt2)

I had a phone call from the Day Therapy Centre today about 2pm, slightly panicked as I thought something had happened to Mo. Didn't need to worry all it was,Mo had done a lot today with having a bath, getting her nails done and having an aromatherapy massage and wore herself out. I'm not too sure if the Day Centre had decided to send Mo home or if Mo had decided to come home, hopefully I will find out what happened. Mo did looked knackered when she came home and not as mobile as she normally is which...

I had my first respite carer in yesterday, didn't think this day was ever going to come round!!. Eve Grimstead was her name (sounds like someone from corrie!). Eve arrived at 10am because I wanted her to come in early as I had a dentist appointment (Joy!)at 10.30. I had arranged with the Association of Carers for her to sit-in from 10.30-1.30pm. I don't know first respite care and I had moved the goalposts..already lol. It was only a routine check-up at the dentist today,"no problems see you in 9...
