    A wobbly Wednesday

Need a self indulgent moan today – this is more to get it out of me than have replies / kick the cat / moan at hubbie by the way. Well Mum will get her results in a week’s time and I having a wobble. Think it has been kicked off by chatting to another mum at school who’s a nurse (fatal talking to someone with medical knowledge at times).

Anyway I am just hoping things will be fine. Planning on taking my boys up to see her afterwards (thankfully all coincided with half term)...

Hello, I received my first dose of GemCarbo today and I'm feeling a little off but too bad, I'm just wondering if anyone has had or is having this treatment at present and how has it or is it affecting them??

    The potted history

Hello - I am new to this. I need a "safe" place to put some structure and sense to my feelings and thoughts and I ended up here. My Mum was diagnosed with small lymphocytic lymphoma in August 2009. They (as in the medical folks she saw) had thought it was a bad cold, overactive glands, pneumonia and finally Swine Flu (that was whilst in France) and then it was finally diagnosed as cancer. It did not come as a total surprise as there was some nagging thought at the back of my head and I took some...

    some good news

    Hi All,

Just to let you know the lates - our christmas cruise was not quite as good as I had expected, and I ended up confined to the cabin for 72 hours with a tummy bug!  I did manage Christmas day and New Year's Eve, but the bit in the middle disappeared.  We got home and within 6 hours my husband got the bug as well, but worse than I was.  Spent the next 2 nights in the spare room so I didn't catch it again.

I dutifully had my Ct scan 3 weeks ago, and arrived at the hospital today to find...

    Mad Mandy's happy Monday!
Left the house at 7-30 this morning...urgh was hard work I can tell you, probably because I'd had 1 extra brandy ( bad influences on this site..!!) Sainsburys first port of call to do mums shopping and I must say, it was bliss scooting round without it being packed with screaming kiddies, why are they allowed to scream? But then again it could be me that makes them scream when I pull faces at them!? Off to post office to collect the oldies pensions, had a lovely chat with the postmistress who...

    Sad..
Mother is very sad about uncle going into the nursing home. She's lost and lonely. When she passes his chair and he's not in it..she says the house is too quiet because he's not rambling away! She also keeps thinking she can hear him in the night.. After all the pain and upset she's caused me over the years, I still feel so sorry for her at the mo..it must be awful being in the house they've shared for over 30 years! I've rang her 4 times today and each time she's been crying, and each time we...

    Another Bad Day

I just need to have a rant!

I hate it how there's more bad days then good days now... On the bad days it's like, when am I going to have a good day? Tomorrow? Next week? Ever? You just don't know... but on those rare good days, it's like, just waiting for those bad days to come back - probably the next day. You're given that little bit of happiness, and then it's snatched away again.

Yesterday was one of the best days I have had since before I was diagnosed in Jan 2011...
