So it appears that I've developed a cancerous lump at the bottom on my gullet next to the stomach valve which is likely to require surgery....
The CAT scan appeared (I'm using the word appears a lot here as very little appears to be concise at this stage!) to show that the lump had gone through all 4 esophageal walls and highlighted some swollen lymph nodes - meaning that it might have spread using the lymphatic system as a conduit... there was also a grey area in my bowel (isn't there always...
The appointment for the Endoscopy came through quite quickly and I was sitting in the waiting room at Telford within 2 weeks...
All the vital signs checked out so no excuses and in I went.... I opted for the throat spray rather than the anaesthetic... Just to avoid hanging around and feeling woozy... Didn't even have to take my shirt off!
Big mistake! If you need to have this investigation and you think there is a chance that the nurse on the end of the pipe is likely to have to chop bits...
Hi... I'm a 53 year old male who's suffered from over acidity for years... That was happy under control with a daily dose of Omeprazole until around Sept '16 when I noticed the old acid burning problem coming back... I went to see my local Daktari who doubled the dose of Omeprazole "and come back in a month"... Today has been another better day, I feel more positive about the future. I feel a bit mean but I'm pleased the festivities are over so now I can concentrate on the next stage of treatment without feeling guilty about spoiling things for everyone.
Today was good because I had to get up and get organised as our holiday makers were leaving and we had the accommodations to clean and laundry to do. My husband said he'd do it, but although he's very good and it was so...

I had a fairly quiet christmas with my hubby, our 2 children, my little chunky monkey who is 3 months old and blissfully ignorant and my cheeky monkey who is 3 going on 13, has far too much energy and is too clever for her own good and my sister in law.
Christmas was lovely with my pain behaving, lots of food and presents and fun and distracting games, such as ps4 camera (see pic below), game of thrones cluedo...
I lost my husband to mesothelioma in September 2016 , when 2017 came upon us, the hurt and pain came back just the same as when I said goodbye at his bedside. I feel like I have left him behind in 2016 - it hurts so much

Yesterday was a nice day, I felt much better when I got up, I think I realised that I hadn't been feeling great for the last week or so, I think it was bringing my mood down, I think I managed to stay positive in front of everyone though over Christmas.
We dog walked in the morning and in the afternoon I got myself a new wig, the original wig looks lovely but after wearing it for a while it pinches my head and it's hot and scratchy. Anyway I went back to...
Usually by this time of the year I’ve started to plan for the year ahead. Weekends away (music festivals, beer festivals, sporting weekends, city breaks with friends) plus holidays. I’ve usually got a planting plan sorted for my allotment. I‘ll usually have a list of ‘jobs’ to be done in the house and garden.
But not for 2017.
The only event planned so far for next year is my eldest son’s wedding in May. The rest of the calendar is blank.

Just got the news from surgeon that the BCC on my upper lip is skin cancer, I was quite shocked as everything I have read led me to think it was nothing to worry about.
