    Side effects of Chemo

    Hi All,

I haven't been on-line for a few months as my lovely mum passed away in Jan after her battle with cancer.  Hard to try and carry on with day to day life but you have to and soem days are better than others.  Shorlty after going through this, my boyfirends mum was diagnosed with cancer of the ovaries and bowel.  She is only 48 and has had 5 sessions of chemo now, which has been working so far.  Surgey has been talked about but has now been put on hold for some reason.

    As my mum had radiotherapy...

The dragonfly that made me cry!!!

Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads, there lived a little water beetle in a community of water beetles. They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond with few disturbances and interruptions. Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of their fellow beetles would climb the stem of a lily pad and would never be seen again. They knew when this happened; their friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible...

Bravery isn't being fearless...It's doing the feared...

Hi everyone, I am Katie, just tuned 20 and I am new to the Macmillan Site. I hope to meet new people, as I feel scared. I will tell......

I work as a Graphic Designer and had been taking migraine tablets for 9 years as they do get worse. Well me, the Boss and the Manager noticed my colours were incorrect. I would see orange if a banner was brown or green if a sticker was black. My left eye became blurred and tunnel visioned even though I had my glasses on, which I were prescribed when I was 15....

To all of you starting this journey, keep you chin up it really does fly by and to all of those finishing...

    Stars in her eyes

    Hi,

I'm just wondering whether anyone has heard from stars in her eyes since last night? I've only just read the blog that she wrote last night & noticed that she has added the comment on her home page "is going to the stars". I'm just feeling rather concerned at the moment. Is any one aware whether admin might be able to get on touch with her?

If you are reading this "stars in her eyes", then please add a comment, as I am sure that I am not the only person very worried about you...

Out of the mouths of babes!

Hi everyone!  I feel the time is right for me to lay my emotions open regarding the last 16 weeks (today) since my beloved hubby Peter passed away!

In the first couple of months I did what I knew I had to do, arranging funeral, paying bills, in my name.  Sorting out Peter's clothes, etc.  Pretending things were being dealt with in a normal 'bereaved' way, trying to put on an act for the family, friends and neighbours!  I managed reasonably well which surprised me.  I thought....this isn't as difficult...
