    Managing Symptoms

I'm blogging while B is telling me I should be going to bed! He is right of course as I need to make sure I'm not overdoing it, but I just thought I'd post a quick update.

Into week 3 now, and starting to get some extra side effects (well one really - diarrhoea). I'm going to try the Loperamide that I was prescribed at the beginning to see if it helps. I've seen the Dr (Registrar side-kick to the main man Oncologist) and the Oncology Pharmacist this week and both have suggsted...

My Reluctant Journey - some news tomorrow.

Here I am sat here watching all of the Big Brother Video bits - I decided to watch Big Bro 24hrs a day, so paid to have it on this screen.

It is nearly at an end and I feel like I am nearly at an end.  I am only just beginning and will finally get my biopsy results tomorrow.  As soon as the results were back, we were booked in straight away, no time to spare - we were told the results were suspicious.  I already know that my Left Kidney has to be removed and we have been waiting to see what was on...

Hi All, I hope you are all doing well.

I hate to put on a sad blog i have tried my hardest not too lately, but i am really struggling at the moment, i have still hardley cried, i still feel very numb.

Last night a friend came to see me and i haven't spoken to her since dad has gone except via text, i talked her through it all from start to finish, she is a great girl and she just listened to me but afterwards i thought bloody hell why did i just inflict all of that on her? She didn't need to hear...

    phew............ book the holiday

I'm very relieved to say that my worries and concerns have now been dispelled by the news that my oncologist is very pleased with my blood tests results, and doesn't want to see me for another 3 months.  I just can't believe it.  I thought it was afluked last time round, and expected it to be back on chemo again today. The way I have been feeling I feared the worst, but when I said about my problems he just said 'that is to be expected - there's nothing I can do it will take time to clear...

    Sunny days off

Surgery this Friday, so I've taken a few days off to do some DIY which I suspect will be a bit less possible after Mr Peach has chewed a hole in my leg, and extracted one of my lymph-nodes! For post-op I am storing up films on the hard-disk recorder, and laying in a massive store of biscuits. I've fixed the new extractor-fan and kitchen blind, so as it's a lovely day outside  I'm going to put on the SPF zillion, the hat, veil,  lace gloves and parasol, and go out and mow the lawn. Actually...

Half way through radiotherapy for breast cancer

Well half way through now.  I have been very lucky to only have radiotherapy which I appreciate, especially when I read about the journeys people have with Chemo - however! it is starting to get very sore and red - and boy I am so weary.  Been going to the gym as much as possible but made the mistake of having a personal trainer last week and it nearly killed me! I had no energy left and became very emtional/weepy and just sat for the rest of the day in a stupor - so if you are awaiting or starting...
