Managing Symptoms

1 minute read time.

I'm blogging while B is telling me I should be going to bed! He is right of course as I need to make sure I'm not overdoing it, but I just thought I'd post a quick update.

Into week 3 now, and starting to get some extra side effects (well one really - diarrhoea). I'm going to try the Loperamide that I was prescribed at the beginning to see if it helps. I've seen the Dr (Registrar side-kick to the main man Oncologist) and the Oncology Pharmacist this week and both have suggsted starting off with one tablet a day and see if that is enough to calm things down again.

Also, next time I get much nausea I'll be on the Domperidone (not to be confused with Dom Perignon.... shame!). But I've not had it too much this week so far.

However, things can't be going too badly as I made it into work today and copied some more files onto the laptop to keep me busy working at home for the next while. Mostly I've been working at home - nowhere near the usual number of hours a week  - but some bits and pieces that make it a lot better than being signed off for the duration.

Right - now I really am off to bed for some much needed kip. Night night!

Wow I so admire you still working. Surely having cancer gives you the right for some well earned rest.

    Don't over do it.
