    Dad - 05.12.42 - .-05.10.10

I lost my darling Dad early Tuesday morning and am utterly heart broken.

He went for RT and the Marsden, anhour later was being rushed to St Georges, luckily we were able to get there and have have eye contact and he squeezed my hand, I told him I loved him. He quickly became unconcious, had a scan and he'd had a catastrphic stroke with major bleeds from the tumours.

He fought for 12 hours, through some things that will haunt me forever, and then the breathing calmed and he looked more comfortable...

    OMG 3 months already

I am really angry at my self

I have just realised it has been 3 months today since i lost my dad. 8th July-8th Oct

I can't believe it has been so long already and it still doesn't feel real. I am so angry that i hadn't realised til now, i know it's not a year or something but oh i don't know difficult to explain.

In a way maybe that means it does get easier.....at one point i could have told you how many days and hours:(

    Where has the time gone?

    I feel so sad now:(

    Good news at last!!!
I just wanted to share my great news with you all. I have been to the consultant today and found out that everything is okay. The mass he found is just inflamed tissue which should heal itself in time! Even he seemed completely gobsmacked! So have gone from thinking I was going to die soon to planning our holiday, cannot believe it!

Just goes to show that even when things look really bleak there is aways a glimmer of hope (my very positive hubby's words).

I want to say thank you to everyone for...

New Job at hospital: Fantastic week

Hi Guys Hope you are all doing well,

Well I have finished week 1 and although i haven't had any direct patient  contact yet i have really enjoyed it. I have learnt how to do ob's and SAT's, oxygen, test for  blood glucose, match for transfusions and lots more.

I nearly had a moment yesterday as during a conflict resolution lecture i had to do a role play exercise where my lecturer asked me to go up to the front infront of everyone and basically read through the notes and act out the senario...

    Good news

I went up to the hospital on Wednesday to be checked over as I'd had a scare with my glands up in my throat and a tightness in my breathing, this was diagnosed as probably being an infection which I was fighting off.  While I was there the doctor had my CT scan results from Monday, I was fairly confident that they would be good but was thrilled to hear that my lungs now appear clear apart from some scarring, (the last scan showed spots of secondary cancer).  My secondary cancer in my bones is improving...

We are sorry to people who had replied or commented on our post's but we really didnt have time what with being mum's main carers and constantly looking for advice and information on Glioblastoma multiforme grade 4 .

Operation over, but breathing problems remain

G is still poorly, even though the operation was a sucess, and he is home again. His breathing is as bad as ever, he seems to be losing the will to fight anymore. Yesterday, our 43rd wedding anniversary, he told me he thinks this may be the end.  I seem to be in some sort of trance, its as though its all happpening to someone else.

Readingother posts this morning. I am am trying to cope with practical things and not dwell too much on the future.
The last two years have been such a roller...
