    Relationship

    Hi,

I am 19 and was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in January 2020. I want to get back into a relationship (I do have experience with relationships despite being young ) as I am well at the moment, due to having come off of chemo and onto a new trial. Because of COVID, everything is online but I do not feel anybody will be interested because I have cancer, so I am afraid to message anyone to say hello and start conversation. I am such a sociable and positive person so that isn’t the problem...

    A feel good week
Now into the second half of chemo cycle 3 and, though I may be tempting fate by saying this, I feel good.  This third cycle seems more manageable than the first two. I had no sickness, just a bit of nausea, no heartburn at all and a little tired...

    2 Years after treatment

Three weeks ago I had my annual mammogram, post treatment. Owing to the pandemic this was delayed for several months.  I was so frightened that it wouldn’t be clear!  This week I got the results and all is well.  My next check up will be in 12 months, I am so relieved.  I have two more zoledronic acid infusions in June and December but so far have had no side effects with these. My next CLL check is in July although I could have left this until the end of the year. I prefer to have regular blood...

The words 'skin cancer and melanoma symptom check written in white on an image of a grey cloud over a hill with green trees and a faint rainbow in the sky.

You may have seen Steph’s recent blog about Sun awareness month and the practical tips to help keep yourself safe in the sun and ways to adapt to sun exposure. After reading this, you may have thought that you’re doing everything you can to protect yourself, but you’re concerned and worried about a new dark spot or mole lesions on your skin. As it’s Melanoma month, we want to share information about what you can do to check for signs and symptoms of Skin cancer and Melanoma.

For someone who never wanted kids, I’m now stressing about wanting kids. An appointment with the fertility clinic and the option to have eggs harvested and frozen (sounds like I’m meal prepping) is not an option. There’s no time. It...
