Hi. Received diagnosis of testicular and secondary abdominal cancer on Monday. Haven't got the foggiest what to expect.... waiting for oncology letter- even words like oncology put the willies up me so need to get a bit of a grip, here.

This is surely a stressful time for you, but you're going to get great care, support and treatment. The language surrounding cancer does invoke high emotion. I found it helpful not to give cancer any special reverence over any other disease. But that isn't easy as it invokes emotion in people that you talk to as well.
