At 57 with dodgy knees I am now the proud owner of a huge motorcycle. Friends seem to be either horrified, concerned for my safety, envious if they have had bikes but discouraged by partners or responsibilities. Well why not, nothing like having fear and concentration to distract me from the hole in my insides. So for now my way of coping is with twin cylinders, 700 ccs and flies on my teeth from grinning like a rather terrified idiot. Seems others are more comfortable if I sit alone at home wrapped in cotton wool. My way of coping has usually involved being on the move and if one more person tells me I need a foot massage or anything else soothing I might scream. We all do it our way......no rules.
