So its been about 3 weeks since my last post, Mum was/is doing really well and was having so many good days that they decided to reduce the Midazolam to try to get her off of it. That went well for a few days, until she got down to 7.5mg and then she started sleeping a lot more (which we were expecting because of the phenytoin that they started her on again), but the amount of seizures also increased so I suggested the nurses increase it again slightly, and they agreed.

so today is sunday and i am feeling a bit tired today. had to have an afternoon nap. i had a few days ago a sore in my mouth no big deal. today i performed some blood tests. i have very high levels of GGT which is really disturbing. GGT shows problems in the liver. i have to talk to my doc about this. WBC looking good, this is because of the vitamin D i am taking, and RBC looking good too, lower than before chemo but still in the range.

i returned to work part time after receiving cancer treatment for most of 2012. my employer is great at supporting my needs and letting me take my time phasing into work. Like most people getting over cancer i just want to be like everyone else. people tell me i look better than i did before. i've lost weight. take time out for myself. go out alot with friends now and think of my health.
i feel so much better, and sexier.

Recently my purchases of music have all been new albums to me, recommendations from various people who have been helping me with my ongoing project to find something different to listen to. However this week I acquired two albums which I know very well. I used to own them both but they unfortunately disappeared from my collection over the passage of time.
I can’t remember where they went, probably lent to someone and never returned. It’s lovely to finally have copies back in the collection...

Well it has been a pretty good month on the whole and overall if you take out all the yucky mucky icky bits and multiply the good stuff.
The break from the radio did its job of lulling the feeling of goodness into a false sense of security until 3 days before daughters imminent arrival from Canada. Her arrrival was a real boost for the spirit. His mum would make a whole chapter on it's own. And it's probably best that I brush over the saga. Grrrrrr.

Husband was booked into have both tonsils removed but as seems to be normal for us things haven't gone as planned. One tonsil was removed but the other tonsil turned out to be enmeshed with the tumour which they have now found on his tongue. Biopsy has shown its too advanced and too large for surgery - I'm gutted. From a completely non medical point of view surgery seemed to be offering the best hope so to find out that this isn't happening has come as quite a shock. It was very difficult at the...
My mum passed away on the 2nd October at around 7pm.
It was an awful day. I got up and went to work as usual whilst dad was still at the hospital. He texted me in the morning to tell me that she was up in bed and talking. Which she was doing when I left her the day/night/I have no idea anymore before. She was making jokes and being sarcastic as usual.
